The Department of Chemical Engineering participates in the activities of the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology participated in the activities of the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023, which was held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, on Saturday, 16/9/2023, on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair. The participation of the University of Technology, under the supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, in a distinguished scientific pavilion within the exhibition, in which it presented the most important scientific activities of the university departments. In addition to the participation of a scientific delegation from the Department of Chemical Engineering, this is headed by Prof. Dr. Jamal Manee Ali Alrubaye, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department and Prof. Dr. Thamer Jassim Mohammed and Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar. It is worth noting that the exhibition and conference edition focused on the importance of scientific publishing and international classifications, which included a new scientific achievement announced during the conference, represented by the entry of a large number of Iraqi universities into the international classifications, including the University of Technology, due to its distinguished scientific achievements.

 

The Department of Chemical Engineering holds a memorial council for the soul of the late lecturer Fadel Abbas Al-Delfi

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held a memorial council for the soul of the late lecturer Fadel Abbas Al-Delfi. The memorial council included a pause of mercy and mourning for the soul of the deceased, and the reading of a verse from the Holy Quran and Surah Al-Fatihah for the soul of the deceased. The Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Jamal Manee Ali Alrubaye, also delivered a eulogy for the deceased, in which he recalled the scientific and cognitive biography of the deceased, his efforts, and his imprints on all scientific and humanitarian levels. It was mentioned that the deceased was an example of giving and achievement in serving the academic and scientific progress of the department. The council also included reciting poetic verses in eulogy of the deceased. May God shower his mercy on the deceased and grant his family and relatives patience and solace.
